What is the difference between Kerosene and Gas Oil?
Kerosene, also known as 28-second oil ( or more commonly home heating oil ), is produced after the distillation process of crude oil.
Most domestic systems run on kerosene because it provides a cleaner and more efficient burn for your home.
Gas Oil ( red diesel ), also known as 35-second oil, is more commonly used in agriculture and industry. Gas Oil is less combustible than kerosene and has more carbon atoms.
Do you sell heating oil tanks?
Call your local WCF Fuels - North East office and if possible, will either give you immediate advice over the telephone there and then, or alternatively we can arrange for a specialist company to make contact you. However should you wish to make direct contact with a company to discuss your oil tank requirements in greater detail, we would recommend an OFTEC registered business called Northern Tank Services Ltd. This company covers all of the North East of England and can be contacted on:-

Are there different size oil tanker delivery vehicles?
Yes there are. With a range of six and eight wheeled tankers, WCF Fuels - North East can deliver a large variety of oil fuels (Gas Oil Derv Kerosene and Petrol) in the quantities you need to any location.
My oil tank is a little way from the road. Will you still be able to deliver?
Most of our tankers have a min 150ft hose, which can be pulled out to make the delivery. This means we can deliver even if your oil tank is tucked away and seemingly hard to get to.
What is the minimum delivery?
Our minimum delivery quantity is 500 litres. However, the larger the delivery you can take, the greater the economies of scale and the lower the unit cost to the consumer.
Can you make unattended deliveries?
Yes providing we can access your tank. All our deliveries are metered and you will receive a printed read out of the precise amount dispensed. These meters are regularly checked by Trading Standards.
